1-on-1 Book Coaching
As a book coach and creative collaborator, I come alongside authors from longing to launch to cultivate courage, help clarify their message, and offer accountability and soul care through the writing and publishing process. I have helped dozens of published authors identify their publishing options and guided them to take the next steps toward their publishing goals, whether that be crafting a book proposal or drafting an entire manuscript.
I am currently booking coaching projects for Spring and Summer 2025, including:
-

FAQs
What kind of writers and authors do you work with?
I primarily coach authors who are seeking to self-publish, hybrid-publish, or scholars and researchers who are seeking to publish with an academic press. I authors who need guidance in exploring which publishing path is right for their project.
My coaching expertise is in the adult non-fiction markets; I do not currently work on books for children or young adults.
Do you have any coaching certifications or training?
Yes. I have been trained as a book coach by Jennie Nash at Author Accelerator and am certified in coaching strategies by Jess Connolly through GATG. I use a blended method of these frameworks for coaching authors.
Do you work with authors who want to be traditionally published?
Yes. I will work with authors who are considering traditional publishing or who already have a book deal and need help developing their manuscript. However, authors must understand that I would never be able to represent them as a literary agent.
How do I know what kind of publishing is right for me and my book?
You can book a 1-hour strategy session with me to explore which publishing pathway may be the best fit for you and your project. Prior to agenting, I was a literary editor for a hybrid publisher and I have coached many self-published authors. I have experience working with authors across all pathways.
Can you be my literary agent after I hire you as my coach?
No. My book coaching services are separate and different from my work as a literary agent. For ethical reasons, if we work together in a coaching relationship, I will not be able to represent you as your literary agent now or in the future.
What if I’m not quite ready to invest in a coach but I want to keep learning from you?
Join me at Writing Is A Team Sport, my coaching newsletter, for access to free and affordable education and coaching for authors and writers. As a subscriber, you will gain a community of fellow writers and be the first to learn about special group-coaching opportunities and courses.
